Don't worry, I’ll make sure this pops up right in the middle of their video scrolling marathon. lol 🌞

You can Be a Helping hand

Guiding Kids Toward a Healthy, Balanced Digital Life

We’re living in a time where it’s completely normal for us as parents to hand over our phones so our kids can watch YouTube or scroll through videos. What starts as “just a few minutes” turns into hours. It happens one day… then the next… and before we know it, it’s part of our daily routine.

Then suddenly we look at our kids and realize something feels off. They’re getting upset quicker. Their anxiety seems higher. Their patience is gone. And we feel that moment of guilt — because the phone became the easiest way to keep them occupied while we tried to get things done.

Parent, is this you?
Welcome to my project. And trust me — I’ve been right there too.

The difference now is that I finally got a handle on it… well, mostly. Yes, they still sneak in some screen time here and there, but nothing like before. I’d say I’ve cut down about 90% of their video scrolling. And honestly? My kids’ minds are healthier, calmer, and more balanced. No more “screen zombies.” And even if we mess up sometimes, if I can do this, you can too.

My goal now is to bring awareness into our homes. And since most kids don’t even know what “awareness” is, I decided the best way to teach it is through feelings — helping them recognize what something feels like inside.

I’m around my kids and so many other children every day, and I can tell you this: kids know when scrolling is becoming a problem.

Awareness:
If your child isn’t acting like their usual self — and you can link it to screen time or social media — it’s time to step in.

How will I know?
You’ll just know. Look at your child and ask yourself,
“Would it be better for them to play with their toys, color a picture, or do something creative?”
If the answer is yes… that’s your cue.

I can only guide you so far. The real change starts with you. But I hope everything I share brings more balance back into your home — because enjoying moments with our kids is everything. And the moments not captured on a phone camera? Those are the ones that mean the most.

Let’s guide our kids toward a healthy, balanced digital life.
